“Last March, heavy rains fell on Kenya. We didn’t expect it… I lost three acres of onions and $75k worth of cabbages. I filled myself with courage and posted my misfortune on the AFC group. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much emotional support from so many people. Afterwards many others started posting about difficult times they were having and we supported them.”

“At AFC we do not tell farmers what to do. We rely on concrete experiences and testimonies that we share so that they can then make the best possible decision for their production.  Through this, farmers develop best practices and professional expertise.”

Denis- AFarmers Club Agronomist

“I never surpassed 60% of germination rate. Through AFC I received the tip to put the seeds in water all night long, then dry them with towels and finally make them crack a little. I now have a germination rate of more than 90%. Hence my revenues are 50% higher than before and it also allows me to maximize the use of the farmland I rent.”

“I was employed by the Kenyan government but I wanted to take an adventure into something else that could benefit my village. The videos posted by AFC through AFFAC Media  prompted me to start farming. I  started with the tissue culture banana and am now trying to diversify my crops.”

Peter Mwaura-Farmer

“Kenya is a large country: some areas are able to produce but not to sell, others face climate challenges, drought and infrastructure problems that prevent them from growing crops. AFC is present all over Kenya and aims at establishing an equilibrium between all these regions in order to reach food security.”
